Project - "Towards EU - Transfer of best practice to Croatia"

Why this project?

The goal of the project is to empower our organisation as well as other civil society organisations in Croatia that deal with rural development issues, in order to stronger influence public policies and decision making processes in Croatia.

This goal is primarily planned to be achieved trough transfer of knowledge and examples of good practice from the EU member states.

In the framework of this project we plan to conduct:
regular meetings of newly established Croatian Rural Development network where institutional capacities will be strengthened
educational workshops for the network members where knowledge on EU public policies (connected to rural and regional development) and influencing them by public participation
preparation for the coming Rural Development Conference (July 2006), initiated by the civil society of Croatia

Project has started in October 2005 and it should be finished by the end of July 2006.

Project is implemented in the partnership with the Duch Foundation Milieukontakt Oost-Europa.
